Not The Way It Was Drawn Up

Didn't get that goal we wanted, in the end. Doesn't much matter. North Dakota's like a runaway truck. They played their game and didn't give us a seam.

So ends a remarkable season, an important benchmark on the road back to respectability. There is more work to be done, and we'll get started on that in October.

  1. I'm glad they sold out of RPI shirts, because if you were watching on ESPN you'd think the only RPI fans there were the pep-band. The only crowd shot they showed (out of many) that was RPI related was the band, all others were or UND fans...even though you could hear plenty of "let's go red" cheers from the crowd.

  2. As a member of the pep band that was at the game, I can vouch that there were a fair number of RPI fans. The vast majority of the people at the game were wearing green, but there was still a sizeable amount of red, considering how much smaller of a fan base we have and how much farther we had to travel to get to Green Bay.

I was fairly surprised that they sold out of RPI shirts, but I assume that they also stocked less of them than they did North Dakota shirts. I ended up settling for a shirt that had all four teams on it.
